"My first visit to see if I qualified for surgery was with Dr Wieger ( Dr. DiMarco's associate ) and found him to be informative and very understanding of obesity. I then at a later date saw Dr.DiMarco. Dr.DiMarco was also very understanding and did not make me feel rushed in any way during my visit with him. He took the time to explain the procedure as well as answered any questions I had. He also explained the follow-up program post-op. I was approved for my surgery by BC/BS recently and hope to have it around May 2002 or as Dr.DiMarco's schedule allows as he is very busy doing approx 12 per month. Also the office staff has been great with me as I wanted this surgery yesterday if you know what I mean. I see this as a way to get my life back and to be healthy for myself and my family. I also took the time to e-mail Dr.DiMarco's pts. found in this website and found them to be very pleased with their care and the outcome of the WLS.
Well I just came home today 4/29 and I must say I feel great and infact almost pain free although I realize everyones pain levels are not the same. My surgery took alittle longer then the norm as my hiatal hernia became somewhat of a challenge. The hospital and staff were greatand I just say a big " Thank You " to Dr. DiMarco and staff. I will update as I see the weight change........Mark
Well I am past the 2 weeks post-op and doing really great. I have had no problems other then midback pain which I feel is from the time spent on the OR table. Foods are going well and it is great to feel full on such small servings. For me I would do it all over again in a heartbeat as I feel Dr.DiMarco did a great job as my energy level as well as my overall health has improved from this procedure. The office staff has been great at the Weight Loss Clinic as I did have some problems with payment on a few pre-op issues to which almost all have been resolved thanks to Erin and Diane for their assistance.
