3-29-03 Well I'm finally home again from St. Lukes. I spent three days there with Pneumonia... I can't believe I was home from my Lap RNY for two weeks then back in the hospital again, not fun! The antibotic they have put me on at home makes me nauseous & gives me diarrea. I'm slowly eating again. I hope to start back on the full meal plan Monday. I need to get my protein in. I just haven't felt like doing anything but sleeping. Hopefully things will starting getting back on track soon! Well the good new is that I've lost 25 pounds in 18 days...From 261 to 236. My clothes are fitting better. I know I will need to lose some more for the weight loss to really starts to show. Dr. Juarez has put me on soft-pureed food so I am enjoying that much better than the liquids. My son kneeled on one of my incision areas and I'm having the burning pain again. Other than the above, I am starting to feel like I made the right decision. It is definately hard but, months from now when I am lighter and feel better, I'll look back and be glad I did the surgery. God Bless... Tracy

Well It's 3 days post-op. The surgery went well. I am in a lot of pain but, the meds do help. I am having a lot of gas pain and I'm going to get Maalox liquid to help to gas go bye-bye. I can't wait till I can get around without so much pain. Heather and I were roommates and that was great! It was nice having support after the surgery! My daughter asked me if I was happy that I had the surgery and I said "Not Yet!" The pain was more than I expected but I'm sure each day will get better. Thanks again for all of you who have supported me.-Tracy

Tracy, best wishes to you for an uneventful surgery and a recovery thats as quick and painfree as possible. This quote is from a book my grandmother gave me before she passed away. It was one or her favorites.(Kahil Gibran) "But if in your thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons, and let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing"
