Pam, I just read your Chapter 1 and 2 on your website. I was in tears reading Chapter 2 about your brother falling 5 stories to his death. I too fell 5 stories along with many other men. Six died and six lived. I was severely injured and did die on the spot but the paramedics brought me back to life. You can read more on my profile if you care to. PAM ~ You just kill me! Between vegetarian cave dwellers, teens not living long lives, and shocking our MIL... what can I say? Too funny! I just wanted to thank you for posting. I always look forward to them and although sometimes they can be very poignant and reserved usually have me ROFLMAO!!! Take care and keep fighting the good fight!

Girlfriend, I'm a former cave dweller right next door in Alabama. The only way I can kill a deer or rabbit is when they run into my car. I know of what you speak. Carbs are so comforting. But they are the enemy. By the way, WAR EAGLE, AND GO VOLS!

Pam, your post was right on it. I am being treated for depression and anxiety/panic disorder. My psychologist has discussed with me the changes that will occur both physically and emotionally with this surgery. He is helping me find ways to handle my emotional ups and downs without eating myself to death. We will continue to work on this even after the surgery Oct. 28. I know his counseling is helping. Along with the new way of thinking and a change in my eating habits, I have lost 26 lbs. BEFORE SURGERY. Maybe, instead of just requiring a psychological test before surgery, it should be required that all candidates receive counseling on emotional eating. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with all of us. It is very helpful. Take care. Donna
