Way to go Ethel! I live right down the street from the Ypsilanti BTC unfortunately my insurance did not cover my surgery there and I ended up going to Hurley in Flint. I am doing well. Best wishes to you and keep up to good work! Lynn

Ethel - The same thing happened to me. I went for my 10 week check-up on 6/12 and they said I was above the curve, even though I felt that I was a "slow loser". Thanks for the encouragement in your post!

Attention fellow SLOW LOSERS!!! Yes, I may mean you. I am ten weeks postop and I have felt depressed and upset about how slow I have been losing. Went to my doctor and he says "I'm right on target." So, I emailed many others who had surgery around the same time I did and do you know what? Most of them are saying how slow they are losing, how they are missing out on their window of opportunity, etc. So...here's my theory: we all keep reading from everyone who is doing fantastic (ie: lost 100 pounds in 3 months) and how it is just "falling off of them." While I eat right, drink right, exercise daily and only lose 2-3 pounds a week feeling like a failure. I think people like me do not post much because we are not doing it as fast as we had hoped and dreamed. I'm going to try to stop berating myself....So....from a NORMAL LOSER -- to all of you other NORMAL WONDERFUL LOSERS...let's hear from you and have a wonderful Monday!

Ethel I know it is easy to compare ourselves to others weight loss but we really shouldn't we all will loss at our own speeds. I know I too have had these feelings....but I am telling you I too am losing 2 1\2 to 3 lbs a week at this stage of my journey which is now 12wks I have loss a total of -56 lbs.... keep up what your doing if your on track and doing as your are suppose to there is no way you can go wrong and the weight will come off. have faith in your self and in your surgeon and in the good Lord whom gave the talent and knowledge for this great tool to be possible for us. I am saying a prayer for you to lift your spirits and that you may see the good that has already happened to you. hugs and God Bless Maureen
