Still on the losing side I'm down 74#. Had to have surger again to repair a ventral hernia on Jan 13, 2003. Will be starting to exercise soon.

I am 3 weeks post-op lost 21 lbs. I'm doing great. Virtually pain free after 6 days. Still can't believe it's over and I'm on the losing side.

Hurray it's finally over! Seems like it took forever to get here.Had surgery on the 25th at 10:30 a.m. home from hospital on the 27th by 1 p.m. Surgery itself was not too bad. I was up and about 5 hours post op. They encourage walking as soon as posible. the only bad thing was getting in and out of the hospital bed. I am 5' 1/4 onch and I really had a hard time. My doctor, Hilario Juarez M.D. is the greatest, so sweet and kind, and gifted. Everybody in the hospitl were so helpful. I had the morphine pump and the belly binder which I hope you all get, much better that those shots. and the binder helps support your stomach. I'll update again, soon!

As I type this I am on the phone with Mary. She sounds great! Home after 2 days! She had open rny surgery. She is managing well. God speed Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!!
