Hi Wendy - welcome to the Dr. Heydari fan club! I had my surgery on 1/13 and I am feeling so fantastic that I have to remind myself to slow down - I am only 2.5 weeks post-op for heaven's sake! Wendy, good luck with your surgery. I am waiting for the last approvals before my surgeon can set a date. I too was diagnosed with MS and the extra weight has made the condition much worse. I'm sure we can get around better after we lose a significant amount of weight.

Hi Wendy, Congrats on your up and coming surgery. Yes you can have communion. I am 8 weeks post op and having be having communion since 2.5 weeks. Go and enjoy yourself, you will need to be part of your church family. God Bless you.

MY PCP TRIED TALKING TO ME FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS, ABOUT WLS, WOULD NOT LISTEN . NOT READY TO HEAR WHAT HE HAD TO SAY. DECIDED IN JULY OR AUG WANTED SURGERY. TALKED TO SEVERAL DRS. THEN WAS RECOMMENDED BY SOMEONE AT WORK. CALLED SURGEON ON A MONDAY HAD APPOINTMENT ON WED LAST WEEK, EXCEPTED ME AS A PATIENT. ORDERED ONLY 3 TEST SO FAR, SENT PRE-CERT TO INS YESTERDAY. GUESS WHAT DR ON MY INS. SO KEEP PUSHING I AM NP MATTER WHAT I AM GOING TO HAVE WLS. HUSBAND SAID HE WOULD TAKE OUT HIS 401K MONEY TO PAY FOR WLS. HE IS BEHIND ME ALL THE WAY. I AM 43 YRS OLD WEIGHT 316 , AM 5' TALL BMI IS 60. I HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, DIABETES, HEEL SPURS, BEGINNING STAGES CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, LEG AND HIP PROBLEMS, GERD, NEED I GO ON.
