Hi, it has been a long time since I have updated my profile. Let's see where do I start. My surgery was January 20, 2004 @ Harper Hospital in Detroit by Dr. Schuhknecht. The surgery went as planned. I was in the hospital from 1/20/04 thru 1/22/04. I came home with the standard equipment (staples and j-tubing). After my first week I lost 20lbs. Eating for me at first was slow. I scared I think most of all to eat but it came along. The best thing was the removal of my staples and the j-tubing. It seemed to give me more freedom. I returned to the doctor after 5 weeks for my second post-op visit. I had lost 11 more pounds. I am doing quite well with my protein drink but the vitamin I am still having trouble. I keep forgetting to take it. I returned to work on March 1, 2004. My first week was quite tiring. I am not exercising as much as I should be. I am still looking for another king of protein drink. The one I am taking by Aria is gritty and grainy. I take it with 1% milk. I have lost loads of inches from my mid-section. I am having my own private fashion show daily with clothes I haven't been able to wear in years.

Hi, My surgery date has been moved to January 22, 2004 due to my filter procedure not being completed until January 15, 2004. I am still anxious and upbeat. I am also still awaiting my approval from my insurance company. I've waited for this answer to my prayer for many years and I wait a little longer.
