Laura, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine in November 2000, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.

Laura, my surgery is on Dec. 10 also...but I've known about it for almost 3 months. Think of all the nervous preop time that you are eliminating.
