"My first impression of Dr. Salahi was a good one. He has a kind face; open and smiling. He seems very kind; he treated me like a person with a disease, not like a person with a fatal character flaw. He took extra time to answer every question I had; and I had some pretty penetrating questions. He did not condescend to me; he treated me like a competent adult.
Thus far, the office staff has been very nice, going out of their way to help me out. As I progress with my course of action, I will try to give everyone a better idea of what to expect. I rate Dr. Salahi and staff very highly so far.
I feel that both bedside manner and competence are important; competece for obvious reasons, and bedside manner because I think that our feelings influence our rate of healing. Good feeling and confidence in one's surgeon prevents as much worry, and promotes a beneficial frame of mind. Perhaps the only thing that I found to be less than wonderful about him is that he dosen't seem to have much in the way of structured follow-up counseling. This assesment may change.
The above assessment is purely my opinion, and is in no way to be construed as advice from this site."
