Hilario Juarez

"I was originally scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Feinstein on 12-22-00. My surgery was postpones twice (both times due to an uncooperative anesthesiologist) and then Dr. Feinstein abruptly STOPPED doing the surgery. I had to start over. While I was with Dr. F and his staff, they seemed very competent and concerned. Every question I asked was answered, and every problem resolved. Since then, I have my doubts. I made an appointment with Dr. Juarez ASAP, and thankfully, my insurance approval was still god as were most of my pre-op testing. Luckily, I did not have to go through all the rig-a-ma-role again and I was scheduled to have surgery within the month. Whoo-hoo! As a bonus, Dr. J does the RnY laparoscopically. I am not as pleased with Dr. J's staff. They either seem too busy to talk to me, generally or grossly misinformed or extremely condescending. If you ask two different members of his staff the same question, you will invariably get two largely differing answers. Kinda scary. On the other hand, his assistant? (the other male doctor) is extremely patient and helpful -- but you do not get the chance to request to speak to him. Dr. J does tend to push a lot of my aftercare questions to my regular PCP. My PCP is not very knowledgable about WLS, and that bothers me a bit. "
