"My first impression about Dr. Bour and WLS is very positive. He has a genuine concern for his patients and has recently traveled extensively all over the country to put together a comprehensive program including psychologist, nutritionist and support group to do everything possible to help us succeed. No, I don't know him personally, but I have been a patient of his for about 3 years. (Two surgeries not related to wt. loss.)All the staff is very supportive and will go out of their way to help. There is an extensive aftercare program that includes Dr Spearman, the psychologist and two nutritionist who are there specifically for the wls pts. Dr. Bour addressed the risk of surgery very seriously, but also pointed out the tragic risk of staying morbidly or malignantly obese without treatment. Not only is he superiorly surgically competant, but has a very professional but compasionate bedside manner. Very attentive and genuine!!!! I am so looking forward to this surgery!!!
