Hi Amos Family I just want to let everyone know surgery went well on 03/14/03 I was released from the hospital on 03/16/03. I was sore, but my main concern during the hospital stay was the itching from the pain meds, started out on morphine, swithed to dilaudid, and finally demoral. I received my last pain killer saturaday nite. After I went home I slept better with very little discomfort. Also, tried the oral suspention of motrin in hospital but could not tolerate the taste and didn't think it would stay down. I haven't even had to fill the RX for pain meds, and I don't think I will need to. I have been on full liquid diet since release...I now understand how difficult it cann be to get all your water & protein in! Drinking water alone hits the pouch alittle hard,so I use the crystle lite. The Real Meals are the best tasting but, they do stay down. Today is the 1st day I will get my 60g of protein in. I drove to the mailbox on Monday with no problem, and walked to get the mail today. I'm just tired. I did notice a sore bump on the bottom of my foot that wasn't there before surgery...it is hard to walk on. Other then that I'm not physically hungry. I want to Thank my AMOS Family for all those heart-felt e-mails and I send my prayers to all of those who are on this journey, no matter what stage you're in. God Bless Smiles Theresa H
