Well, it has been a few months and I am finally back at work. I had some post op complications including a stricture which had to be dilated twice but am doing much better now. I am able to drink and eat most things. I am losing... not sure how much as I told myself that I was not going to obsess about the scale and only get on one when I have to, e.g. the doctor's office. Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts... they really helped. Keep the faith!!! You are all great people and I am proud to know you!!!

I called the hospital on Friday morning to check up on Nancy. Sh was in her room and they transfered me and I got to speak with her! Her sugery went well, she said but she had to spend most of the first day in the recovery room because her regular room wasn't ready till 9:30 PM! She was a bit groggy when we talked but sounded in good spirits. She had been sitting up on side of bed and was just getting ready to try a walk when I called. Her doc told her she was doing really well and might go home on Saturday but Nancy said she was still betting on Sunday. All-in-all, I'd say she is doing great. I told her I would post a big "HELLO" from her to all AMOS family. Hopefully she'll be able to tell y'all that herself in a few days!

I am not Nancy's official angel but I also work here at OSU and I just called to find out her status. She is now in recovery so she made it through!! I will try to either call or see here tomorrow and post another update. WAY TO GO! NANCY!!!

Hi Nancy, Only 2 more days. Gosh, I bet you are ready. I started this process in the spring also. I have 10 more days. Dr. Needleman is my surgeon also. He seems to be a very nice man. Let me know how it goes. As it stands i am in on a fri and out on a sun. We shall see. Hope it goes very well for you and i wish you all the luck in the world. sharon ledford

Nancy, I am so happy for you! Your surgery will be over with and you will be recovering right as I go in. Hope you enjoy pureed turkey for Thanksgiving, I'll be grateful for an icechip!
