"My first impression of Dr. Vanguri was a very pleasant one. He was very soft-spoken yet I felt welcome and very much at ease. My impression only got better. I have been his patient for over 10 yrs now, and I have grown to adore him... he has quite a sense of humor once you get to know him. He's a very gentle soul and very knowledgeable. The office staff is wonderful. I liked least that I had to wait months in advance to get an appt. Future patients should know that they will have to be patient (pardon the pun), as it can take a long time to get an appt, and a long time in the waiting room... don't count on your scheduled appt being on time. However, they will be in good hands with Dr. V and his staff. Dr. V emphasizes after-care and encourages seeing him at least once a year after several years out. I'm not sure if he has a structured aftercare program, but I do know that he has a nutritionist on hand who also had the surgery about 5 or so yrs ago. Dr. V did address the risks of surgery. Overall, I would rate Dr. Vanguri as a 9 out of 10. I think he is extremely competent and has a decent bedside manner.
