Congrats on your upcoming surgery date. I pray that you have a uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery with no complications. I am now 2 weeks post op and I feel great both physically and mentally. Don't be scared, just remember God is with you and he will keep you safe from harm. This is a prayer that I repeated time and time again until I was out. PRAYER BEFORE SURGERY Loving Father, I entrust myself to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the surgeon and his assistants whom minister in you Name, and grant that every cause of illness be romoved, I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and those around me. Into your hands I commend my body and soul. Through Jesus Christ. AMEN.

Amanda, I am wishing you a safe, complication free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done it several years sooner. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. God bless you as you start your healthy new life.
