"After meeting all the surgeons in the office, I decided on laproscopic. I am very concerned about the time under anesthesia but felt comfortable after realizing three surgeons would be in the OR.
I was dissappointed when I was told the request for approval had been submitted to my insurance yet they told me they had not received it. They refaxed 3 times but did not call the insurance company. It was clear this was going to progress on their schedule, not mine. Two months later, when they were ready, I received a call to verify my group number. This had been the cause of the problem and was corrected promptly.
Aftercare has not been discussed at all. Possible, they feel this can be handled by the support group meetings."
