"Dr Teng is wonderful!
He has a very gentle, kind bedside manner.
He is a very careful and meticulous surgeon.
(my friends who work in the OR call him very obsessive and meticulous and conservative, taking time to be sure everything is done to perfection!)
I appreciate him more as time goes by.
He holds a monthly support group that he personally attends. It is open to any WLS patients or investigators, so those who had surgery out of town can come to a support group locally...I think this is kind of him, as other surgeons in town do not allow "outsiders".
His aftercare program is close followup for two years, then at least every 6-12 months thereafter.
Worst things about him?
He's addicted to Dr Pepper...which I am NOT supposed to drink postop.
He's only about 5'4" and 180...so I felt like a giant around him at 5'7" and 360! LOL!
Office staff are so excited about my success... sort of like second family.
Future patients should know that he is not interested in doing surgery for folks who think WLS is a "quick fix", only for patients who view WLS as a tool for overall life-changing events of weight loss, increased exercise, and eating healthy.
He is the only one I can strongly recommend in town, as a nurse of 30 years. I can tell you why, if you contact me personally...but I will not "flame" the other guys in this posting.
