"My first impression of Dr. Benotti was that he is very direct and focused on his work. This impression did not change a great deal over time, as he was always upfront and extremely professional.
Dr. Benotti's office staff has been consistantly friendly and knowledgable. This is a fortunate quality for them to have, since they make up for the sort sterility that is characteristic of my relationship with Dr. Benotti.
If I were asked about anything that I did not like about the experience, it was only that (to Dr. Benotti) my sole identity was that of a digestive system. As I have previously mentioned, this is more than compensated by his affable office staff.
Future patients should know that Dr. Benotti is an excellent surgeon with an excellent reputation (as evidenced by many testimonials that I have witnessed). However, it should also be understood that he does not have a person by person approach when it comes to dealing verbally with his patients.
There is a high emphasis on aftercare. Psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, and virtually all day to day health care issues handled by one's primary care physician are effected by the surgery.
Dr. Benotti was upfront about all risks present involving gastric bypass.
If asked to rate Dr. Benotti on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give his an 9. This high score is far more a reflection of his surgical competence than his bedside manner.
Surgical compatence is extremely important. Howerver, if Dr. Benotti displayed an overdeveloped bedside maonor, it might have made me skeptical.
