Hackensack University Medical Center

"I understand that hospitals are very short staffed, but in my situation I developed some unseen complications and ultimately needed a transfusion. There were many times when I felt that there was no one on duty at all."

Rafael Capella

"I met with Dr. Capella on January 18, 2003 after attending his informational meeting. The meeting is great and answered alot of my questions. After the doctor went through the surgery step by step and showed some before and after pictures. He sat down for a Q&A. He answered everyone's questions honestly and in depth. He even had a couple of people there who were past patients and they answered questions as well. When I meet with the doctor at my appointment, he was very nice and professional and I did not feel rushed. His staff was nice and helpful and answered all of my questions. I spoke with Melba, who handled the scheduling and insurance aspect of the surgeries. My surgery and currently scheduled for May 26, 2003 and I can't wait! If my insurance company approves me quickly enough, I may get an earlier date. I have waiting a long time for this and can't wait! Dr. Capella fully explained all of the risks that go with this procedure as well as the benefits. The only thing that wasn't too great was the one on one with Dr. Capella, I wish he would have spent more time going over what he did during the seminar. but other than that I can't say anything bad about the doctor or his staff.
