That's so right. You fight and fight until they give you your approval. It's not over until the fat lady sings.(No pun intended) LOL that's my little saying.You continue to stay focus and go get them..Hugs

I have been denied by cigna open access on the 2nd of april since this date I have certified an appeal packet to the arizona center...which they have received on the 5th of may....I guess for the last 15 or so years with so many co-morbs, this life of an overweight person battling just another obstacle is another thing to deal with...Dealing with cigna has been a nightmare from each person you talk to telling you different things to the whole packet sent in not even being viewedin entirety....I am so frusrated and dissapointed that someone viewing your file can just deny you .............My faith in the system is that I willl continue to fight ,fight ,fight ........I suggest anyone who is going through the same hoops to the same....dealing with failure after failure and knowing this surgery will save the insurance companies LOADS of money in the long run will be beneficial to my case but I do not think they have thought of that....or just ignoring it....my co -morbilities are as follows: hypertension,diabetes,oteo arthritis of both knees,joint pain ,heel spurs, severe rashes,snoring,to name a few 322 and a BMI of 53.7

Clara, I also have Cigna, mine is PPO, and was finally approved after 12 weeks with the first letter. Persistence is necessary. Do everything they request and call, call, call. Hope you are approved soon. Good luck!!

Cigna has denied me.....Im so upset for all my co-morbilities I do not understand ...I have been wating to hear from them on my first appeal packet..They have received it on the 5th of may no news yet ...today is the 13th of may.....I pray that things will work out....good luck to all of you.
