After careful consideration I've set up a time and place for our first Obesityhelp WLS Support meeting. This will be open to any type surgery, any surgeon you had, pre-op, post-op or needing general information. The meetings will be the first Tuesday of each month 6:00 to 7:30. The first meeting will be March 1st The meeting place will be Gibbs Library in Evans, Ga. Here are some directions if you are not familar with the area. It's very simple to get to. From I-20 westbound, Exit Belair Road, At light take Right, go thru 4 red lights (you will be going approx 2 miles down), right after 4th red light you will see a bank on left and the next building is the Gibbs Library on left. This location does have wheelchair access for anyone who needs it and also the chairs do not have arms for anyone who might worry about that, I know I use too. If you need more information please contact me at [email protected] I hope to see you there and meet some new people. Amy

I wanted to extend a welcome for you to join an online support group in the Augusta area if you are interested. We are a very small group and are fixing to have our first meeting this next month. If you are interested please join the group on MSN, we'd love to have you! Pre-op and Post-op are welcome and it doesn't matter what surgeon you have. Hope to see you there! http://groups.msn.com/WLSAugustaGa

I just saw that we lost our DEAREST ANGEL, Momma Angel. May God be with her family through this difficult time. I know she is with Our Heavenly Father. She was the first person to post on my "page" & I will always remember her as a dear sweet loving Angel............now she soars with others like her.

Hey Gang !!!! I feel wonderful. Tomorrow's my 1 week anniversary & if I'd known how good I'd feel so quickly I'd been a lot less scared. ANYONE who'd like to hear of my surgery, I'll be more than happy to share. Really wasn't bad AT ALL.Thank you all again for thoughts, posts & prayers. My Angel Tonya needs our prayers now, her Grandmother (in Utah) is in poor health, so please let's all join together & pray for her & her family.

Debbie- I hope this brings you better health and a new lease on life. I understand your concerns about being afraid. I have a 1 yr old daughter. I am doing this surgery to live a long life with her. I am sure this surgery will do just that thing for you too! Prayers and luck to you!

HEY ALL !!!!!! WOW, what great buddies I have. You're all so sweet to be keeping in touch. A special "THANKS" to Tonya, my Angel & to Diane B. Surgery went well, was released 6/4 & now at home feeling great. The worst pain I had was lower back due to laying in bed so long. I can honestly say that the surgery/recovery has not been bad. I am excited to begin my new life now. Wanted everyone to know how much prayer worked for me. I am very excited to have this behind me now & begin my new journey. Love & Thanks to ALL You,Debbie
