Alfons Pomp

"My first impression of Dr. Pomp was very good, but it was difficult to answer who my actual surgeon was because originally the doctor who performed my gastric bypass was his associate, Dr. Inabnet. He was also very nice and knowledgeable. I had complications which included a leak and peritonitis and needed emergency surgery 36 hours later and Dr. Pomp was covering for Dr. Inabnet. He made a bold decision to operate as the test for the leak came out negative, but he knew something was terribly wrong and decided to operate. I now follow up with him as I credit him for saving my life, therefore I put him as my surgeon on the questionnaire. the office staff is hot and cold. The girls who answer the phone seem to disconnect me all the time. The nurses and other staff are nice enough.future patients of Dr. Pomp should know that he came to see me every day through the end of my stay at the hospital and that he was very caring, compassionate, funny and emotional. He seems like a real family man that appreciates people and doesn't look at them like numbers.I don't feel that Dr. Inabnet really explained the true risks of this surgery, I may have thought twice about it, then again, I think I still might have done it, it is tough to say now."
