HiK. - I'm with you on the hospital bed thing. I came home and had my hubby drag a recliner into my bedroom because it was most like the hospital bed. Hope you recover swiftly with little pain.

Hi everyone! I got home a few hours ago. Who ever said sleeping in your own bed was the best is LOONEY!!!!! lol.... I think I like the hospitals remote control one better. Well, I've made it to the losers side of the fence. Luckly, no complications what so ever so far. I'm sore but nothing like I expected. My lungs are alittle sore from the anethesia and I have to cough some. I did have alittle adventure... I now have a rather large green streak (major fashion statement) in my hair from someone in surgery spilling the fluid they put in to check for leaks over it. Oh well..... back to the 80's for me! lol And now I can hear my bed(ugh) calling me for nappy time. OHHHHHHHHHH before I go....daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I HAVE LOST 12 lbs in 3 days!!!!!! WhoooHooooooo. I will update again soon. Good luck to you all and Happy New Year!!!!!!

It's me - the angel with the crooked halo. Wade and I visited Kara tonight in the hospital and we remain amazed at how great she's doing. She's drinking juice and is going to actually try food in the morning and then probably go home sometime after lunch. She's got millions of questions so you will probably see her posts on here every day! Visited with her husband Roger and darling son Eric too. They'll all be glad to have her home and things somewhat back to normal. Keep up the good work friends!!!

Ok, so I'm a goofy angel.......I didn't mark my last "post" as an "update" and my letters didn't turn blue so I'm coming back to shout it at the top of my lungs (because I'm so very happy for Kara) SHE DID GREAT THROUGH THE SURGERY!!!! Tomorrow morning she gets to try some ice chips/juice/food. I know she's going to be fine. I'm looking forward to our shopping spree at Victoria's Secret in about 10 months. Keep up the good work, Kara!!

One very delinquent angel ready and reporting for duty. I visited Kara in the hospital today and she looks FABULOUS!!! Well, except for that part of her hair that's green (some green goo was spilled on her hair during surgery and now she's making a real fashion statement). I was so delighted at how good she looks (and yes a little jealous since my LAP surgery had to be converted to OPEN). Her surgery went well and she's had some pain which is to be expected. She's also had a bit of nausea but Dr. Clements says that's due to meds and not her new tummy being fussy. I'm going to try and get back up to see her tomorrow but I can tell from the gleam in her eye that she's going to continue to do GREAT!!! I'm so proud of you Kara!!!
