Hi, I'm now home after three days in the hospital, and in recovery. My incision is about 10 inches long as I also had hernia repair, removal of one of two appendixes (good grief, couldn't believe I had TWO), the gallbladder, and the gastric bypass. It's also painful but bearable. Thanks to all of you for your continuing support and caring. It made all the difference!!!

It's my surgery-eve, and I've guzzled and survived the go-lightning today, focussing on getting it over with and moving on... and like what people write about this being a new beginning, starting over, maybe getting yourself back again from who you once were? We did get the interpreter set up at Providence (hoorah) after getting to know so many people, departments, etc., it is finally happening and I sure thank Missy (and tomorrow it will be Maggie) for making it possible. My parents are here! They arrived from Maine, despite just learning last Friday I would have the surgery this week, and after leaving at 2:30 am their time and getting here at 3:00 pm Alaska Time (that was a LONGGGG day!)... so I'm honored, and feel cherished and loved and special after months of just feeling.. very fat. So, (toasting with my water glass), to a new BEGINNING!
