Hi everyone, this is Diane on Thursday 9/4. I just wanted to let you all know that I am POST-OP finally. First let me thank everyone for your encouraging words. I did appreciate them all very much. Next I wanted to let everyone know that I am doing great. There were no complications with the surgery. I went to Brookwood Inn on the 26th to spend the night since I had to be at the hospital at 4:30 a.m. on the 27th. Everything went right on schedule and maybe even early. I cannot say enough nice things about the people at Brookwood Medical Center - what a wonderful caring bunch of people to be around if you have to have surgery. Also, they had a great deal of humor which really helped me. From surgery I went straight to SICU because of the sleep apnea. The next thing I can tell you is I was being wheeled into my room and it was Thursday. Here again, I had excellent care from everyone. I came home on Sunday afternoon. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I'll update again after my first post-op checkup on the 10th. Diane
