"When I came to Dr. Homan I really didn't know much about WLS. Dr. Homan was really straightforward. There was no trying to sell me on the surgery or anything like that. In fact, he explained the risks and downside of the surgery so well (as well as the upside)that I felt confident that he was giving me the whole story. I saw a couple of surgeons in NYC, subsequently, but came back to Dr. Homan because he has a great reputation in the community, and I felt he had a good program which treats the whole patient (dietitian, exercise, psychotherapist). He emphasized that surgery is not a cure in itself, but is a powerful tool which could be used to help me loose weight. The WLS worked great for me, and I can recommend Dr. Homan without reservation to anyone in this surgery. Even if you're undecided, Dr. Homan tries to teach you about the surgery, and you definitely won't feel pressured."
