Hi Veronica! My name is Kathie and I live in Hawaii. Yes, there are quite a few people who have had WLS here. The down side to that news is that there are only a few (like...3 or 4!) surgeons who perform the surgery so the waiting lists tend to be kind of long. We do have a WLS Support Group with an online support feature too. Go to Yahoo groups and go to the group called "supportwithaloha". I am still waiting for authorization but have attended the monthly support group meeting. The people who have had the surgery was doing very well! We look forward to hearing from you!!!!
