Hi, Sheryl, (I sent this to your email, but it bounced back--so I'm posting here!) Thank you SO MUCH for your supportive and informative email!! I contacted a counselor today and hope to get started with therapy ASAP. CONGRATULATIONS on your spectacular weight loss!! I also admire your preop weight loss! I was 313 at last count, but I've been pigging out for the past 2 months, so I'm afraid by the time I get to the darn OR, I'll be 350. So, I'm not eating, not smoking, grrrrrrrr. But I'll get there. When I posted my problem on the board, I felt totally hopeless and panicky. I got some wonderful emails from other AMOS members (including your lovely email) and I feel like the SUN IS SHINING AGAIN.... God bless you and thanks again! I copied-and-pasted your email into a Word document and titled it "Presurgery preparations" so I'll be sure to refer to it in the coming months. Let me know how you're progressing! I'll keep in touch.... Joyce

September 1st Dear Sheryl: Greetings and congrats on your weight loss and the beginnings of feeling great!!! Sheryl, I'm 10 days post-op and feeling wonderful!!! I'm finally walking!!! My dog loves me for it and so does my daughter. Anyway, give me a write if you feel like it. I put myself through college as a single parent too; I kinda know what you're going through. Sincerely, Lori Ann
