"I was very impressed with Dr Haicken's knowledge and genuine concern for my during and after surgery. During the first week I had a low grade fever. He called and said he hoped I didn't mind him hovering but he was concerned and even though he was off for the weekend he would be checking in. Sure enough Sunday morning he came in and said we're going back to the operating room. I don't know what is up but we'll find out. There were three abscesses which he took care of and I started feeling a little better. I also had fluid on my left lung and I am still, six months later, dealing with that. (Still some pleural effusion and scarring) I was also very impressed with his staff. I think that his future patients should know he is a very thorough Dr. and will not pursue surgery unless he has all the tests and information he requires. He is very thorough in determining whether surgery is right for you as well as informing you of the surgical risks. To me, he is the best in the area. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in this type of surgery.
