Hello everyone, I am now 8 weeks post surgery, and I'm down 54#'s!!!! I'm now in a size 18 from a 26! I wear XL shirts instead of 3X's. It is wonderful! the weight loss is, other areas of my life are not going as good. Things on the home front aren't so well. I think the results of the surgery have played some part in it. I don't the the hubby or myself for that matter was prepared for how much loosing the weight would change me as a person. I'm not willing to sit around in the mundane routine of life that once was and that of course means I'm constantly doing new things and on the go all the time. At a time in my life when I finally feel young and beautiful for a change without it becoming accusatory if you know what I mean. I know to most people it sounds selfish, but I have waited a long time to be free from the trap the weight had put me in and I need this for me. Needless to say my other half does not share in my enthusiasm. Sorry to have vented on everyone but thats where I'm at. Its all good! I go for my 3 month apt. on April 5th . As soon as I can figure out how to do the pics I will add them!

02/04/03 Its been 1 month since my surgery. I'm down 39#'s. As of yet I have had no complications with throwing up or dumping . Thank God! I'm now in the soft food stage which is not bad at all. I'm eating eggs, toast, moist meat anything that is really moist basically. I'm only eating about 2-3 TBSP if that at my meals. I should be eating 4-6 times a time a day but being back at work full time now I'm having a difficult time doing that. I usually eat something in the morning before I leave which is 7:30am, then at lunch and when I get home about 6:30pm . I will usually have a popsycle before I go to bed. Sugar-free of course. I've been going to the "Y" after picking the kids up from school at least 3-4 times a week. I went to try on clothes yesterday just to see what sizes I could fit into. I'm in a size 18!! from 22-24. I have two sick little ones today so I need to go an tend to them. We'll, update again soon. Thanks everyone for all your comments. They really mean alot to me. It gives me that little extra boast for the day! Thanx!

I am now post surgery and on the loosing side! Surgery and my 4 days in the hospital were uneventful. I could not have asked for it to have gone any better. I had an epuridural when I came out of surgery to control my pain. They removed the day before I went home and I was on percocet for the duration of my stay and the first 4 days home. I haven't taken any today. I'm on liquids only. Broth, milk fortified with powder milk and surgar-free juices. and of course vitimines. It has been a week yesterday and I am down 14 pounds! This is the greatest blessing God has allowed me to receive. I have had some emotional feelings that have surfaced that were unexpected. The feeling are unrealistic. So I am not owning them. Right Dr. Phill?!!! Anyway God is Good... All the Time ... God is good!. Until next time Until next time ...keep loosing.
