"Dr Thors and his staff were very respectful. It is an embarassing thing to go in and disrobe in front of a stranger.They really went out of their way to make me feel at ease. I also liked that they would work with me to get insurance approval for some of the procedures."
"He's very quiet and reserved but very professional. He anwsered all my questions, and being a nurse I had a lot of them. I still feel that he is a professional, that hasn't changed. The office staff at bariatric Treatment center is OK. Whenever I needed to reach a physician I received a phone call back within a reasonable time. However the wait during follow up visists leaves a lot to be desired. I like everything about Dr Schlesinger, except he is quiet and reserved, this may not appeal to eveyone. Dr Boe is great, I see him for follow up visits. All of the surgeons that i have meet from BTC are great. All of them emphasize the importance of follow up care. They do have a structured aftercare program, but as i mentioned before, sometimes the wait to see someone is toolong( My last visit i waited two hours just to see the dietician) All of the risks were discussed with me, including death. That was the risk I had the greatest concern about, so do most people. I rate both Dr's Schlesinger and Boe as great! I truely think that surgical competence is much more important then bedside manner although it is difficult to related to a surgeon who is missing a bedside manner. The only thing i didn't like about my hospital stay is , on my first time up out of bed, they left me alone to walk. I was concerned as I didn't want to fall. Some of the staff took a while to anwser my call light, but overall i would have surgery there again."
