"After feeling like I was doing my "homework" by attending large group meetings sponsored by physician groups also performing the surgery, I attended a small group meeting at a big city hospital where Dr. Frantzides explained the various surgeries available throughout the world and his reason for prefering the Roux-n-y technique. He stressed the importance of minimally invasive surgery and stressed the follow-up that would be required for success.
His professional demeanor and his emphasis on the whole person impressed me. However, what set him apart from the others that I'd seen was his interest in keeping actively engaged in the field of laproscopic surgery as it relates to a variety of patient concerns, not just gastro bypass. This experience keeps Dr. Franzides "fresh" and knowledgable about his field.
The office staff mirrors the professionalism of Dr. Frantzides. Kathleen has been available to answer questions and really is encouraging to patients.
