This is a song by Jim Neighbors. During my fight with the insurance companies and waiting and especially when I was on my way into surgery. This is the song that kept me going. I hope it will give you strength at this time. I also want to send this to the men and women and their families fighting for our county tonight. It is a war song, and also in a way it is our battle we are fighting also the war against fat. “To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to bare with unbearable sorrow. To run were the brave dare not go. To right, the unrightable wrong, To love, pure and chased from a far. To try, when your arms are too weary. To reach, the unreachable star. This is my quest, to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far. To fight for the right, without question or cause. To be willing to march in hell for a heavenly cause and I know if I only be true, to this glorious quest, that my heart, will lay peaceful and calm, when I’m laid to my rest. And the world will be better for this. That one man scorned and covered with scars still strove with his last ounce of courage. To reach the unreachable star. To reach the unreachable star, though you know it’s impossibly high. To live with you’re heart striving upward, to reach the unreachable star.
