Patricia had surgery yesterday & made it through just fine. They had her in ICU until this afternoon & moved her to a semi-private room. She is from out of town & family came to visit but she was by herself last night & today when I got there & again when I left. I was glad she had a "room-mate" to watch out for her, as the nurses did not seem as attentive as I would have liked. Got her up & walking a little, got her some swabs for her mouth & some lip balm. She was in some pain (had it open) but had her morphine pump nearby. She didn't like it making her sleep, but hey, when you have pain, sometimes that is best. Tomorrow she should feel a little better & get up & walking a little more. Her roommate had WLS surgery almost 3 years ago & was there for hernia surgery on 6/27. Will check on both of them tomorrow & hope to go see them by Friday (I have to go after work in the evening). Anyone wanting to stop by & visit, I am sure it would be greatly appreciated. She is at Shelby Baptist, in Alabaster, AL. Can't have anything to eat or drink until Friday and she is begging for something to drink, so that is hard for her right now. She is hoping to go home Saturday, Sunday at the latest. Keep her in your thoughts. Patricia, here's to a speedy recovery & will come to check on you soon. Take care.

"If you think you are beaten, you are; If you think you dare not, you don't; If you'd like to win, but think you'll lose, you're lost. For out in the world we find success begins with a person's faith; It's all in the state of mind. Life's battle don't always go to the stronger or faster hand; They go to the one who trusts in God and always thinks ‘I can.’"
