"Dr. Roye's office staff is wonderful. Annette was very helpful in getting the approval from my insurer, who initially said that they never got a request for the surgery.(Obviously they were procrastinating, so that they didn't have to pay.)Once I switched carriers I was approved in 6 days.
From the minute that I sat down with Dr. Roye he explained to me just what the surgery involved and he and Helen actually drew out a picture of what my insides will look like when my surgery is done. He told me the risks and the benefits and he emphasized alot on aftercare.
Being preop and only spending a few minutes with Dr. Roye I can't say much about his bedside manner but I have seen his finished work (I have a friend that Dr. Roye performed surgery on)and knowing what I know from her and visiting the support group at Rhode Island Hospital, I would reccommend Dr. Roye to anyone. I feel like I can trust him and he will take good care of me in that operating room.
October 21,2003-I had seen a statement that "No person can be the "best" in all aspects", here on Obesityhelp and I also read that 100% postitive reviews are generally less informative or even suspect.Well, I am here to tell you that this is so incorrect.I don't have a single bad thing to say about Dr.Roye. He is the BEST there is. His good looks, his personality, his surgical competence,& his bedside manner go above and beyond what I expect in a doctor. He truly cares for his patients and it shows.He gave me my life back......"
