"i was introduced to the surgery by my best friend about a month ago. a couple of co-workes of hers has had it done so she asked was i interested. i was unsure. i had always thought about get it done but never had the proper insurance to cover it. but now with the new job that i have, it was covered(thank god!!). my best friend called to get an appt. with Dr. Schecner and i followed. we were lucky. our appt. was for the following week. we both felt comfortable in his office. the staff was so pleasent because they understood that obesity is a disease, not just being fat or lazy. the appt. took about three hours.the nurse explained in detail about the surgery, recovery time, and making a total lifestyle change. we both left the office feeling like we both made the right decision. within a few hours Dr. Schecner called me himself and told me i was approved!!!! that was the best news i had heard in a long time. my best friend is still waiting for her call but it wont be long. now i finally have something to look forward to in life. THE SKIES THE LIMIT!!!!!! "
