"I had my first apt with Dr. Butler yesterday. I was very impressed with him. He made me feel like I was very important and answered all my questions without hesitation. Dr. Butlers office staff were very helpful.The aftercare program is very good, Dr.Butler was very clear about his expectations of you in the after care program. He was very upfront about all risks involved with the WLS. I was very impressed with the over all treatment I received in Dr. Butler's office and am already looking forward to my next visit. 06/21/01 - I went to the support group meeting held in Lakeland today, I was very impressed. 6/25/01 - My insurance has approved my surgery, I can hardly believe it is really happening. 7/9/01 - My surgery was done on Monday at 11:00. I did not have any problems and was up sitting at 7:00 that night. I walked constantly while I was in the hospital and was released on Thrusday morning.My recovery was great, I went back to work the following week for 4 hours each day, and 8 hours a day the following week. I have had no complications of any kind. 3/7/02 - I am down to 185, and feeling great. Have had no problems of any kind. All is well, My doctor has checked me out constantly, and is very happy with my progress. I could not more be happy. I have a great surgeon, and for the first time since being a teenager I can actually see my feet. To be able to walk and not hurt is a great feeling. The only downfall I have had is finding out what foods do not agree with me. Thankfully there hasn't been many. 6/11/02 - I am down to 168 as of today. All is well. I have had some swelling in my feet and legs, but other than that I have had no problems. I'm going to see Dr. Butler tomorrow for a check up. All my blood work has been good, alittle low on the protein, but everything else was great. Just wanted to do an update."
