Cynthia, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine last November, and I have never had a single regret. Even going off the arthritis meds was worth it, and more do-able than I would have thought. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
