"My first impression of Dr. Berkowitz was that he was very knowledgeable and at ease. He answered all of my questions in language that I understood. Following surgery and during my hospital stay, I was even more impressed with Dr. Berkowitz. I ran a 102.7 fever while in the hospital. It was reassuring to see Dr. Berkowitz and all of the staff jump into action to complete tests, etc. I was informed of everything occurring and why. And the whole time everyone assured me that everything would be OK and really calmed me down. I also liked the fact that Dr. Berkowitz and the staff were very encouraging and offered a lot of verbal praise. Overall, I would rate Dr. Berkowitz as an excellent physician, both bedside manner and surgical competence."
