"My first impression was that this man knew his stuff, he has over sixteen years experience in WLS. Also, my surgery date is August 25th which indicats that he is highly sought after. I have also spoken with two of his past patients and both sing his praises!
His office staff consist of his wife and one other person. They make you feel welcome and you know that they are willing to go to bat for their patients.
Dr.Waits has a support group that meets once a month at Northside hospital. He encourages all his patients to attend. One of the women that I talked to says that she never misses a meeting that they are well structured. He has a nutrionist that speaks at the meetings.
He did address the risk of this surgery yet seems very confident. He has never lost a patient!
I like him immediately. I was worried that because I was borderline that he may not want to do my surgery (BMI 36) but he stated that I would probably benefit greatly from this surgery. That the problems with my joints would get much better! I just had to have knee surgery!"
