JENNY, I TOO HAD AN UNEXPECTED SPLEEN REMOVAL. THEY WERE ALREADY GOING TO DO A GALL BLADDER REMOVAL ALONG WITH MY RNY SO I ENDED UP WITH A THREE BANGER! (ON 8/18/00) THE ONLY THINGS I'VE FOUND SO FAR IS THAT I'LL HAVE TO HAVE A PNUEMONIA VAC YEARLY (INSTEAD OF ONCE IN YOUR LIFE) AND QUARTERLY BLOOD WORK TO CHECK WHITE AND RED CELL COUNT. I HAD A HARD TIME SHAKING A REALLY BAD COUGH FOR SIX WEEKS AND MY PCP SAID IT WAS PARTIALLY ATTRIBUTED TO NO SPLEEN. SO MY FRIEND, MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR PNUEMO VAC AND CHECK THOSE COUNTS...OH...AND LOSE, LOSE, LOSE BABY!

Hi all, I had my surgery on Wed. 1/24 and due didn't get home until Tuesday 1/30. They nicked my spleen during surgery and I had to have it removed. Still not feeling real great I will, post more later when I am feeling up to it. Thanks to all who sent their thoughts and prayers.
