Hi Pam, I'm scheduled for WLS on 11/11. I waited a long time too. I knew my WLS date since early August but my Dr's office didn't send the paperwork to the insurance company until mid-September! Anyway, I gave the insurance company 2 weeks before I called and when I did they told me it was approved! I agree the waiting is 1/2 the battle. Just time yourself right and call them in a few days. Sounds like everythings going down the right track! Good luck!

Hi Pam Be encouraged, you are on your way. I started this trip in June and here it is October and I still don't have a surgery date. I know that the wait is the hardest, you doubt yourself, you doubt your faith. The things going on inside your body and your mind makes you think you're going crazy, but you're not. This is a true test of our fruits of the spirit. We must continue to let our light shine, no matter what. I know what you're going through girl, but what a time is to be had when we are on the losing side. We won't be thinking about insurance battles, etc. Hallelujah!!

Pamela....keep your chin up and keep the faith too. I am glad your DH is going to help you make the necessary phone calls. Of course you're disappointed, and it's OK to have a big old cry if it helps you get past the disappointment and move on. Best wishes to you as your try to get approval and a surgery date.

October 07th Dear Pamela: Greetings! Thank you for such an honest/sincere post today; I know everything seems sooooooo====slow when you want it sooooooo----bad----but it will happen, probably sooner than you think. That's the way it happened for me. I had given up on surgery because of insurance slowness etc.; then suddenly I got a new job, new insurance and a new surgeon; Within three months I was on the losing side!
