ok, I went to see Dr. Salvino for my little pre-op speech and I had a chance to get a better impression of him. He is great!!! He tells it like it is but he also has a sense of humor. He knows how to be serious when it is important but can also let loose a little and be fun. I think the office staff is very nice. The billing girls are very helpful, I received alot of help from a young lady in particular named Nicole, she is very nice and knowledgable about insurance. The aftercare program is very good. They require you to give yourself heparin shots 2 times a day for 2 weeks to prevent blood clots. I personally feelthis is very important and I haven't heard that other doctors practice this. Also they make sure you are working your lungs and legs so you prevent pneumonia and blood clots. I would highly recommend Dr. Salvino to anyone considering this surgery. There is a lady there named Carol Bax and she is extremely helpful and kind. "
