~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Leslie, part of the WLS procedure, and the reason it works so well,is because you are not absorbing your food as well as before. Unfortunately, this means you are not absorbing your vitamins and minerals as well, which is why my doctor makes sure you understand that for the rest of your life, you will have to take iron supplements, multivitamins, and calcium. Sometimes it's necessary for B-12 injections to be administered too. Talk with your doctor about your vitamin and mineral regimen, maybe it's time to have your iron and B-12 levels checked, and see if that's the problem. Good luck to you.

Have you had labs done lately...you could need some b-12. I'm a new postie so I am tired still yet from recvery and my body still adjusting but that would be the only thing I can think of for someone so far post op....Or possibly iron deficient which a iron supplement would help....if its been a while since labs had been done I'd contact your Dr. Hope this helps. Hi Leslie, I read your post today. I have the same problem almost. But I have no problems in food going down. I hardly eat, and still am a very slow loser, I exercise and drink 64oz of water each day but still stay creeping on the scale. anyhow I guess it's better than gaining. I can't figure it out. my wls was on 12/6/02 I started at 399 and now is 339. best wishes to you and hang in there, we will loss this weight. Hugs
