I had my surgery Friday, 2/21/03 at 11 am (3 days ago) and am doing pretty well. I only spent one night in the hospital and went home the next day at approximately 3 pm. The surgery went well and I didn't have much pain once I was in my room. I didn't have much pain when I got up to walk or anything. The first night home I couldn't sleep longer than 2 hours at a time because I'm a stomach sleeper. What seemed to help the next night was hugging a large pillow so that I could sleep on my side. Last night, I started out the same way, but woke up this morning on my stomach so I'm definitely progressing well. I'm surprised at how fast I'm feeling better and better. I'm on a liquid diet for now and am doing well with juices, but water at any temperature hurts. Jello is weird too, it seems like I have 2-3 bites and let it kinda melt in my mouth still makes me feel pretty full pretty fast. I've tried regular and sugar-free so that doesn't seem to make a difference either. So...so far so good. :)
