"Dr. Wongsa was very hard on me the first time I visited him. I was only 18 years old and the first thing he said to me was "your too young for surgery" I was very discouraged after the first time I saw him... I did all my required test to have surgery, and then I was denied by insurance, because I did not have 6 months of recorded diet with my primary care physician and also a 5 year history of being obese. After 6 months of weighing in and finding 2 more years of proof of obesity, I went back to Dr. Wongsa and he was a little nicer than the last time, he told me before I could have surgery, I had to lose 15 pounds. Two weeks after I saw him I was approved to have surgery. The only reason I stayed with Dr. Wongsa even though he was very ugly to me, was because he was a highly recommended surgeon. He is good at what he does on the surgery table. He may make you mad or even make you cry with his bedside manners, but he is an awesome surgeon."
