Happy ONE Year Anniversary to You! I hope that this post finds you healthy and happy. Please remember to drop by and update your profile from time to time. It's important for others to be able to see how we post-ops do on our journeys. You never know who you might inspire. Have a great day.

Hello AMOS friends - I think this is my first post this year! Just wanted you all to know I have made it into the Century Club - It Is Official - I am down 102 lbs. in 19 weeks. I am so happy that I went ahead with this surgery (open RNY) but my surgeon is a little concerned that it is coming off too fast. She wants me to eat more than I have been - can you imagine??? A doctor asking you to eat more! The main issue I still have is trying to get enough protein in - long term it can cause problems so I plan to work really hard at getting in at least 5 small meals a day with protein as the main goal. I wish you all - pre or posties - an equally successful journey. I will update my profile soon. It's time for a new picture too! Thank you for all of your support, I read the site daily, but just haven't posted in awhile.

Six-Week Report!!!!Went to BTC Ohio yesterday and unbelieveably, holiday and all - I am down another 28 lbs.! This is a grand total of 66 lbs. lifted from shoulders (and other overloaded parts) forever. I am so thankful for this surgery and for the support and encouragement I receive from my fellow AMOS pals! This equates to 31% of my excess weight already gone. I feel good but still am having difficulty getting in all my protein and water. I also still tire rather quickly but once I get a handle on the protein I hope this will change. So far so good - thanks to all who keep in touch and keep me on the right track.

Wow - You are doing so great! That's the way to go! Keep up the good work and keep posting. My surgery is Nov 13 and I hope I have as much success as you are having.

WOW! Went for my 2 week check-up on Tuesday and was so surprised to find I've lost 34 lbs!!!! I am doing great! I feel well and am trying to get my walking in each day. My incision looks really good, just a thin red line. Still on full liquids for one more week but get to all saltine crackers, hot cereals, and mashed potatoes now as an early start. Next appointment is Nov. 29th. BTC must be really busy since they had to move my 6 week date out a week. Hope everyone is doing equally as well and having a good outcome too! The best thing is I'm under 300! Will never see that awful number again!
