Hi. I saw that you posted some foods that you should buy for first week and second week. Sugar-free jello and chicken broth and sugar-free pudding and cream soups. My problem is I have Crohn's Disease. I can't have anything that is sugar-free with sugar subs in it. I can't have cream soups. No milk, fruits, juices, vegetables, seeds, nuts, chocolate, aspartame, sweet & Low, saccharine, caffeine, calcium. Are there any other sugar free items that don't have aspartame or sweet & low or saccharine in them? I fear I will only be able to have WATER.

I'm home! Almost 50 hours from the surgery and here I am!! Everything went just the way it was supposed to. Loyola is fun because it's a teaching hospital. I had all the "baby" doctors and my own personal student nurse. Just like some of the others on here, I was in ICU for 24 hours because they didn't have a bed on the surgical floor. I'll write more when my tummy is not so large with the gas.

The little pain you will feel now will be just a faint memmory as you enjoy a new extension to your life. Good luck . Walk through the door.

My friends, God is so AWESOME!! I am well and leave for the hospital in little over an hour. Thanks to all of you who prayed for me to get over the cold. Now pray for my poor husband to survive my surgery! He is so precious! He's been terribly worried and kept it to himself until he got digestive problems. May God Bless all of us who are having surgery today!
