Derek: Hi! Glad to hear you made it through surgery fine! Why did they switch to a DS in surgery? I hope you were notified of this possibility beforehand. I also hope that you have solid nutritional counselling, etc. because the DS is a much more malapsorptive procedure! I had a lap DS last year and have been very happy. I just would be shocked if someone had performed something else on me unless I was informed and agreed to it beforehand! Please visit the duodenalswitch@yahoogroups group -- Now that you have the DS, you may have questions, concerns, etc. and want to meet more people (there are quite a few dsers on these boards and many are on both or all groups - there's a smaller group but really friendly at wlsduodenalswitch- I think I got that addy right!).
