Saw Dr. Thompson last week and will meet with the program coordinator he works with at Whittier hospital next week. I sat in the lobby a very long time(almost an hour I think). That always irritates me when I am on time for an appointment and am made to wait more than 15-20 minutes. By the way, Dr. Thompson is very straightforward and has a nice demeanor. We sat and talked for about 45 minutes, to go over the basics. I feel comfortable to speak with him, which was a relief. I have felt alot of shame when talking to my PCP, who is a male doctor...so I wasn't sure how it would go with Thompson. Think it's time to switch PCP's after this is all over! The coordinator says I need to bring all of my documentation supporting my weight loss efforts. That is going to take some digging, since I have done Herbalife, Body for Life, Cybervision, Self Hypnosis, Make the Connection and have been battling this weight for over 20 years off and on. Jeez, I have a whole library on weight loss programs. Am I supposed to bring all of it with me as proof? Is that a stupid question? Will keep you posted! "
